Milette Siler, MBA-HC, RDN, LD, CCMS is a registered dietitian and culinary instructor dedicated to advancing the Food is Medicine movement across a variety of professional and community settings. With an advanced specialization from the American College of Culinary Medicine (where she was named a Fellow in 2025) and over a decade of culinary education experience, Milette's expertise lies at the intersection of nutrition, public health, and culinary education.
As the lead culinary instructor at University of Texas (UT) Southwestern’s Medical School, Milette enhances nutrition education for medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals, equipping them with the skills to integrate culinary medicine into patient care. In the community, she teaches hands-on cooking classes for cancer survivors at Moncrief Cancer Institute and UT Southwestern Harold C. Simmons Cancer Center, collaborating with local food pantries and community organizations to promote food and nutrition security for underserved populations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In 2022, Milette co-founded the UT Southwestern Culinary Medicine clinical service line, which includes pioneering partnerships with churches in southern Dallas. This service line transforms community kitchens into clinical spaces where patients can utilize insurance for Culinary Medicine shared medical appointments. Her innovative culinary education programs have garnered attention from notable publications, including Today’s Dietitian, Time magazine and Texas Monthly.
