Mark Berman, MD, FACLM is an internal medicine physician and social entrepreneur whose work focuses on metabolic health, plant-based diets, and digital therapeutics. He studied physical therapy at McGill University, medicine at Yale University, and primary care internal medicine and population medicine at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He was a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow at UCSF and later served as the special assistant to the CEO and president for Childhood Obesity at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Mark has worked with digital health startups in Silicon Valley for the past decade, while also practicing lifestyle medicine at One Medical Group in San Francisco. Mark is currently the head of health at Better Therapeutics, where they are building prescription digital therapeutics for treating chronic disease. He is also a fellow and past director of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. He lives in San Francisco with his wife Josie and their 4-year-old daughter Ella. (San Francisco, CA)
