Jonathan Burgess, MD

Jonathan Burgess, MD, MPH is a public speaker, author, and published chef who is passionate about research into lifestyle interventions for the prevention and treatment of psychiatric disorders. He is author of the book chapter "Diet and Nutrition in the Prevention and Adjuvant Treatment of Psychiatric Disorders," commissioned by the American Psychiatric Association, and has been a returning faculty at Harvard School of Public Health Continuing Education Conferences in addition to being a Grand Rounds and guest presenter at University of North Carolina School of Medicine,  Massachusetts General Hospital, the Alaskan Mental Health Trust Authority, and other venues. He was formerly the Manager of the Wellness Program at Ipswitch, Inc, a 330-person Information Technology company in Lexington, Massachusetts. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, received a Doctor of Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and a Master of Public Health at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. He has completed research at Stanford University School of Medicine, Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Pennsylvania, and has publications by the American Psychiatric Association, American Journal of Psychiatry, JAMA Internal Medicine, Academic Medicine, and others. His research focus is the impact of diet in the prevention and treatment of psychiatric disorders. (Hollywood, FL)
