Faculty Bio

Caitlin Hosmer Kirby is a Registered Dietitian and holds both a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Nutritional Science (Cornell and Tufts). Caitlin managed the Outpatient Nutrition Department at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston for five years. She is a Senior Nutritionist at the Brigham and works with the development of integrated therapies as a member of the Integrated Clinical Center of Harvard Medical School's Osher Institute. Also in her role at Brigham and Women's Hospital, she consults to the Harvard Heart Letter and to local media representatives reporting on nutrition-related current events.

Caitlin has worked in the field as a community nutritionist, and directed several multidisciplinary health care teams in Massachusetts, including managing the Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She has been a principal in establishing integrated and complementary health care operations as private enterprises, typically as Director of Clinical Programs, and in developing web based nutritional services.
