Guest Faculty Bio

Mollie Katzen is a multi-million-selling cookbook author whose ground-breaking Moosewood Cookbook won entry into the James Beard Cookbook Hall of Fame. Named by Health Magazine as one of the five “Women Who Changed the Way We Eat,” she sits on the Harvard School of Public Health Nutrition Roundtable and was an inaugural inductee to the Natural Health Hall of Fame. Her eleven best-selling books include the classic Enchanted Broccoli Forest, a collaboration with Walter Willett, M.D., of Harvard School of Public Health, Eat, Drink, and Weigh Less: A Flexible and Delicious Way to Shrink Your Waist Without Going Hungry, and a children's trilogy, lauded as "the gold standard of children's cookbooks" by The New York Times.  Mollie's most recent book, Get Cooking, has been nominated for a prestigious IACP Award. Since 2003, Ms. Katzen has been a consultant to Harvard University Dining Services and co-creator of their Food Literacy Project.  In addition, she has partnered with University of California Berkeley Dining Services and has been an advisor to the University of Massachusetts to augment their food offerings.
