Faculty Bio

Joyce Goldstein is a food industry consultant, food writer, and prolific cookbook author. She has traveled extensively in Europe, studying the traditional ingredients and cooking techniques of Mediterranean countries. Her books include The Mediterranean Kitchen, Cucina Ebraica: Flavors of the Italian Jewish Kitchen, and Mediterranean the Beautiful Cookbook. A former chef at Chez Panisse and chef/owner of Square One in San Francisco, Chef Goldstein is a founding member of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs. Her next book, Mediterranean Fresh, a compendium of one-plate salad meals and mix-and-match dressings, will be published in May 2008. (San Francisco, CA)
