Continuing Education Certification
Eligible conference participants will be able to receive Continuing Medical
Education (CME) units issued by Harvard Medical School Continuing Education
Department for successfully completing this program. Harvard Medical School
is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
(ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This program
has been accredited for 26.5 hours of AMA Category 1 credit.
Chefs and other foodservice professionals will receive 1.6 Continuing Education
Units (CEU's) issued by The Culinary Institute of America for successfully completing
the program. For Registered Dietitians, this program has been approved by the
Commission on Dietetic Registration for 23 CPEUs. The Boston University School
of Social Work has certified up to 18.25 hours of continuing education credit
for licensed social workers.
The California Nursing Association (CNA) accepts AMA Category 1 credits in fulfillment of its continuing education certification program. Nurses are supplied a receipt at the time of registration which should be submitted to CNA with their appropriate forms. Other state’s nursing associations may have a reciprocal arrangement with the American Medical Association for continuing education credit.
